DIVINE WHISPER with FR. PIUSRALPH EFFIONG, SMMM

TUESDAY OF THE 23RD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME OF THE YEAR (B)
Mystery of the day: Sorrowful

"I chose you from the world that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide, says the Lord." (John 15:16)

The choice of man above every other creatures springs out from God's unfathomable love for humanity. In relating it with the creation account, only man enjoyed a direct breath from God (cf. Genesis 2:7).

Despite his disobedience to the detects and ordinances of God, he still enjoyed the solace ambience of the Divine.(cf. John 3:16)

In our reflection today, Evangelist John presents us with our Lord's Words of reminder:

"I chose you from the world that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide, says the Lord." (John 15:16)

A reminder that puts us on the Know that, we did not choose ourselves but we were chosen by God, planted with the expectation to blossom wherever we are being planted.

Sometimes, we felt we are where we find ourselves out of our making or efforts made. Better still we have worked so hard to reach the crescendo of our various professions, that is why we are there. "NO" could rightly be the answer because except God decides, our late to bed and earlier rising will be in vain. Our effort is a little push to what God has already mapped out for us. Let us not be carried away but utilize every opportunity as a precious gift from God to us for the betterment of humanity and good of the society.

It was Fr. Andy Paulinus in his thoughtful thinking who called for "Talent for common good" following his priestly apostolate. This clarion call come to play on the life of many. A prove that God give us all that we have, and place us wherever we find ourselves for the good of others.

Finally, let us be aware that wherever we are, whatsoever we have and whoever we think we are; all come from God. Blossom for the good others wherever you are planted and bear abiding fruits in God.

Peace! Be with you. 🙌

Fada PIUSRALPH prays for you
