Mystery of the day: Joyful 

Celebration: Memorial of St. John Chrysostom (Bishop, Confessor and Doctor of the Church)

"O let there be rejoicing and gladness for all who seek you. Let them ever say, 'The LORD is great,' who long for your salvation." (Psalm 40:10.17)

The dawn of each day breaks with glad tidings beyond words. The whispering of insects, joyous melodies of birds and the fresh dew falling manifested God's abundance love on creation. 

The rising sun gives hope to evey wailing heart for the salvation is near. Today, we reflect with the Psalmist who called to mind the goodness of the Lord for those who seek Him in spirit and truth saying:

"O let there be rejoicing and gladness for all who seek you. Let them ever say, 'The LORD is great,' who long for your salvation." (Psalm 40:10.17)

This proclamation also serves as a reminder for those who are in distress, stressing that whenever we call on God He will be there to comfort us, those seeking for peace will have it in full.

Finally, as this new week breaks, trust in God and He will be there for you. So that at the end we may join the rejoicing crowd with solemn acclamation: "God is great..."
