DIVINE WHISPER with FR. PIUSRALPH EFFIONG, SMMM

FRIDAY OF THE 22ND WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR (B)
Mystery of the day: Sorrowful
Celebration: Memorial of St. Gregory the Great (Pope, Confessor and Doctor of the Church)

"And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; if he does, the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins." (Luke 5:37-38)

Dearest friend(s) in Christ, warm greetings to you with God's choicest blessing.
It is obvious that most at times we find ourselves living on a "double standard" platform. That which pleases God and the other humans.
We tend to forget that we have been bought and the price paid in full through the paschal mysteries of our Lord. Which should have in right sense of it makes us a new creature. That is "a new wine in a new wine skin."

Sadly, we have derailed from this path of eternal and seeks for comfort outside comfort in Christ. This desire pushed us to depart from the light which is Christ and the vision of glory which God has prepared for us.

Let us be watchful and be alert. For Christ Himself knew this right from time immemorial when he proclaimed:

"I am the light of the world, says the Lord; he who follows me will have the light of life." (John 8:12)

We need this light of Christ to dispel the darkness in our path. For when the light comes, darkness is submerged. Then, the taste of our newness in Christ will be irresistible. The glory of God will be fully manifested, even the heathen will seek for conversion.

Finally, let us part our ways from the Old ways of living. Let the newness from the break of dawn of each day gives us the spiritual energy to renew the perfect way of living. For in doing this, everything around us will be renewed.
Peace! Be with you.
Fada PIUSRALPH prays for you 🙌

Quote for the day:
"Newness in Christ unlock all potentials in man." - PIUSRALPH EFFIONG, SMMM

Let us pray 🙏
Eternal Word, You are the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation; for in You all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. We beg of Thee to grant us the grace of newness, so that we may glory in Heavenly things. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
