Mystery of the day: Glorious
"For we are bondmen; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended to us his steadfast love..." (Ezra 9:8-9)
It was Ezra who having discovered his nakedness (iniquities) and that of his people avers:
"For we are bondmen; yet our God has not forsaken us in our bondage, but has extended to us his steadfast love..." (Ezra 9:8-9)
This is a solemn profession made with a contrite heart. This scenario recalled the tale of a prodigal son, having come to terms with his emptiness.
We on the other part have failed and come short of the glory of God. We have rebelled against God. We have hurt the feelings of others, we betray countless times the trust bestowed on us. In many occasions we have failed in our duties as Christians, above all we make the Hoy Spirit weep over our iniquities.
Amidst these shortcomings and failings God has not forsaken us in this bondage of iniquities, as His steadfast love enshrines us now and always.
Who can measure the love of God? What can be compared with His unfathomable care and provision? Indeed, none!
Dearest friend(s) in Christ let us be more conscious of who we are, where we are and what we are doing. This gesture will certainly amounts to thanksgiving to God for His great love.
Finally, let the call to conversion by our Lord resounds in our ears as Evangelist Mark proclaimed:
"The
Peace! Be with you. 🙌

Let us pray 🙏
Eternal Word, we acknowledge Your great love upon us. Thank You for the many blessings we have received, that which we are still receiving and many to be received. Grant O! Lord we pray the grace to be docile to your ordinances so that we may dwell in Your peace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
