WEDNESDAY OF THE 15TH WEEK OF ORDINARY TIME YEAR (B)

Mystery of the day: Glorious 

Good morning to you God’s beloved. It is yet another beautiful midweek. God in His unfathomable mercy has done it again. May His name be praised both now and forevermore, Amen. 

Today, Evangelist Matthew reminded us of Christ's gratitude to His Father for revealing the hidden mysteries to those whom the world considers to be fools and powerless instead of the wise and powerful beings following the wordly standard. 

At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to infants; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. (Matthew 11:25-27)

This gracious will of God to humanity borne out of His love and concern for the poor in spirit and the weak. He is compassionate as the psalmist proclaimed today. "The Lord is compassionate and gracious" (Psalm 103: 8a)

Beloved in Christ, why allowing human conclusion to bother you or becloud your sense of reasoning? God has the final say, through His Son who paid the debt in full on the Cross. 

Rejoice and be glad for God's love upon us cannot be quantified. He loves us beyond measure, race, sex and connection.  May His love continue to be upon us as we place our trust in Him.

Most merciful God, thank you for the wonders of Your creation.  Be merciful to us in our daily struggle and may our daily effort be sown for eternal harvest. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
